Our Interior Process

Step 1: Initial Meeting/Project Consultation

The process begins with an in-home consultation to discuss your goals, style, and budget. During this meeting we want to get to know you and understand what is important to you and your family. We will discuss any issues you have in your current space and all of your needs/wants for the space. We will also do an initial site evaluation to determine all steps necessary to achieve your vision. Your Volpe Enterprises Design Consultant will gather photos, measurements, and scope of work in order to assemble and provide an “opinion of probable cost”.

Step 2: Conceptual Design Agreement

Once you decide that you are comfortable with Volpe Enterprises, your Design Consultant, and the opinion of probable cost, the next step is to sign a Conceptual Design Agreement (CDA). The CDA allows your designer to create thorough plans, comprehensive material selections, and overall scope of work.

Step 3: Selection Meetings / Design Phase

During this stage, one of Volpe Enterprises highly skilled Interior Designers will work with you hand-in-hand to achieve your desired style and design of your dreams. This includes visits to our vendors to make sure every material in your project is to your liking along with multiple vision board meetings if necessary. Tile, Flooring, Cabinets, Fixtures, Countertops, and any other materials needing selections will be decided on during this phase.

While you are finalizing selections, your designer will begin diligently working on the design for your space. Floorplans, elevations, electrical plans, tile plans, trim plans, and custom millwork (if necessary) that reflect the proposed work to be completed. These will be produced using Sketchup, Autocad, and 2020 Design Software. Realistic 3D perspective renderings of the proposed renovation will be produced for you to take out as much guesswork as possible.

Step 4: Design Review

Your proposal will include a write-up of the project overview, budget estimates, and a tentative design. We will use this time to discuss details and answer any questions you may have. Our designers will present tentative material schemes, and assist with refining selections. When you come in to review the design, you will be able to see the finished product come to life in 3D perspective.

During the final design review, if needed, modifications can be made to the scope and plans based on your feedback. We want to make sure the project is exactly what you are looking for before we begin, so any changes are welcome―and encouraged―at this stage.

Step 5: Home Improvement Agreement

Once the proposal is signed, it becomes an agreement, and we will move forward with your project. We will set a construction schedule that works with your needs and begin submitting paperwork for the necessary permits. You will also put down your deposit at this stage in order to be added to our production schedule.

Step 6: Pre-Construction Meeting

The next stage of our process is the Pre-Construction meeting. Here you will meet with your project manager as well as your Project Consultant and Design Consultant at your home. We will review the contract, schedule, material selections, proposed plans and confirm all measurements. At this meeting we will also discuss any questions you may have in regards to cleanliness of the workspace, site conditions and an overview of daily and weekly activities during the duration of the remodel. The main goal of this meeting is to ensure yourself, our Designers and our Project Manager are all on the same page in regards to detail of work and expectations for the upcoming construction.

Step 7: Construction Begins

When construction begins, the work area will be sealed off to ensure cleanliness and safety using Zip Walls and a HEPA air scrubber/filter will be set up to create negative air pressure to make the coming weeks as least invasive as we can to your day-to-day lives. All materials will be organized neatly and tools properly arranged at the end of each workday. Communication is a value Volpe Enterprises holds dear, so you can expect to see your Project Manager almost every day and be informed as to who will be coming to your home each day. You will have weekly on-site punch list walk-throughs with your project manager to keep you updated on the progress of your project and inform you of what to expect in the upcoming week in regards to stages of completion for your project.

Step 8: Project Completion

Our goal is to consistently display our values of Quality, Honesty, and Integrity to our clients to give you the true Volpe Experience and earn the ability to be your contractor for life. When all work is completed as agreed and final punch list items are satisfied, we will have a final walk-through and provide a final completion packet for your convenience—with all plans, product warranties, Volpe’s workmanship warranty and maintenance instructions. You should also expect your designer and consultant to check in from time to time to ensure your full satisfaction in your new space as well as choosing Volpe Enterprises Inc.
